Course Overview
The goal of this five-day intensive course is to improve academic staff members’ grant writing skills by giving them the tools they need to create strong, financially feasible applications that meet community development needs and meet the expectations of foreign donors. A variety of academic information, real-world writing tasks, case studies, peer critiques, and professional comments are all included in the course.

Academic staff that are looking to get international development-based funding from charitable organisations, and international donor agencies.
Workshop Expected Outcomes
By the end of the workshop, participants will:
- Understand donor priorities, requirements and funding mechanisms
- Develop strong, fundable community development project concepts
- Structure and write high-quality proposals
- Design sound budgets and Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) frameworks
- Effectively submit and present grant proposals
- Engage community stakeholders in project design for better impact and sustainability

Accommodation
We advise participants to subscribe to our hotel package in GIMPA which covers 6 days accommodation, dinner, and airport pickup/drop-off. The hotel is on GIMPA campus, which is the most convenient and affordable for the workshop.
